Happy June 2017 Monday Moanin to you. Wow , what a beautiful weekend I just experienced in Western Michigan. For the past several years my family and I have been lucky enough to participate in an annual camping weekend. I am not going to lie, I am not Captain of the all camping team. In fact many times, including this year I manage to forget a critical component needed for the trip,( tent poles). So we had to buy a new tent. Every year I learn more about team work and applying Manby’s seven principles. This past weekend these principles were still evident as we enjoyed another wonderful time. After a long and challenging school year it is important to recharge and get some rest. Enjoy some quality family time and have your share of fun. After a few weeks of rest and relaxation, it is time to get to work. The following ideas hopefully will assist as you begin planning for the summer and upcoming 2017-18 school year. Happy Fathers Day! My dad passed away in 1991 and I miss him very much. I think of him everyday and as I get older his influence continues to grow on me. An area that I never focused on until this morning was his influence on me as a leader and leadership overall. My dad was a great initiator with many outstanding qualities. Read more
