Happy June 2017 Monday Moanin to you. Wow , what a beautiful weekend I just experienced in Western Michigan. For the past several years my family and I have been lucky enough to participate in an annual camping weekend. I am not going to lie, I am not Captain of the all camping team. In fact many times, including this year I manage to forget a critical component needed for the trip,( tent poles). So we had to buy a new tent. Every year I learn more about team work and applying Manby’s seven principles. This past weekend these principles were still evident as we enjoyed another wonderful time. For many of you this may be your first week without students or of summer vacation. After a long and challenging school year it is important to recharge and get some rest. Enjoy some quality family time and have your share of fun. After a few weeks of rest and relaxation, it is time to get to work. Happy June Monday Moanin to all of you. As I was preparing for this MMT,  I realized that Fathers Day 2017 is a week from today. I then found this archived blog from 2012. Hopefully  it will provide you an opportunity to reflect on the influence that your Dad had on you and your path in life.

Happy Fathers Day!  My dad passed away in 1991 and I miss him very much. I think of him everyday and as I get older his influence continues to grow on me. An area that I never focused on until this morning was his influence on me as a leader and leadership overall. My dad was a great initiator with many outstanding qualities. Read more
