Monday Moanin Thoughts #324 It’s Time For Spring Cleaning
Happy Easter/Passover Monday Moanin of April 2019. For most of us in Michigan we have reached the time of year to begin the annual event of spring cleaning. OMG, we hit the 70 degree mark yesterday. It’s finally time to open up the windows and get rid of the cooped up stale winter air and welcome the newness and hope of springtime. This may be a perfect time to conduct a professional spring cleaning. It’s time to let go of some things and freshen up and enhance your practice. Use the questions listed below to guide your reflection. They are:
Are you communicating with clarity and consistently checking for understanding regarding your message?
Are you encouraging staff to focus less on compliance and more on enhancing there relationships with their students?
Do you show an interest in your students lives and display a “never give up on them” attitude?
Are you leading with respect? Do you set a tone of respect daily in your actions? Are you leading with hope?
Are you paying attention to the needs of your students, staff, and community? Are you encouraging more choice for students and staff?
What can you stop doing that is getting in the way of what is really important? Reflect!
Are you being liberal with specific praise?
Are you finding the joy in your work? Make this a priority!
Good luck with your spring cleaning, have a great week, and above all, keep finding the good stuff.
