Monday Moanin Thoughts #278 Great Time To Reflect, Try These

Happy Monday Moanin to all of you. It is hard to believe that this is the final Monday of November, 2017. I hope that all of you had a great Thanksgiving break and you are returning to work with some energy and passion. As December quickly approaches 2018 will not be far behind. As a result, is a perfect time  to begin reflecting on 2018  and how you are going to grow and  enhance your effectiveness during the new year. As I begin meeting with several school leaders over the next few weeks my conversations will include the importance of reflection and getting ready for 2018.

To assist you in this  reflection process, let me suggest using a strategy that Ken Blanchard writes about in several of his books and writings. Begin by focusing on these three questions.

• What do I want to start doing to grow in 2018?
• What will I need to stop doing to make that happen?
• What do I need to continue doing to keep growing?

Try applying these three focus areas to you individual actions first, then apply them to your team. It is a simple and doable strategy to identify your next steps. Good luck, have a great week and keep finding the good stuff.
