Monday Moanin Thoughts # 120 Thoughts From Summit 2014

Happy Monday Moanin to all of you. This past Thursday over 100 educators attended the Hickey Group Planning Summit 2014. It was inspiring being in the same room with such a committed group of school leaders and teams. Over the course of the day, teams from 9 different school districts and 25 different schools were focused on planning some part of  the 2014-15 school year. During the day we used the hashtag #hlgsummit14. Listed below are some of the tweets from the  Summit that will give you a flavor from the day.

@Pchinn79, 1.Kids will leave us more HOPEful, 2.Have COURAGE, 3.create a culture of OPPORTUNITY.

@dande666 , Appreciate the well thought out PD plan for the district! Great team…meaningful work.

@MLBennion, Success happens through intentional planning and preparation- let’s get to work!

@mlonze, What questions are your teachers asking their students? Are the questions focused on teaching or learning?

@Rb08bps, Great reminder: If your focus areas for your school are more than a sentence, you are focusing on too many things!

@hamka_moussa, Q:How do we behave?A:We will be united in support of one another demonstrating intentional compassion and commitment to the team.

I also encourage you to check out Reflections from Rachel who attended and blogged about her experiences at the Summit. Here is the link:  http://reflectwithrachel.wordpress.com/2014/08/02/inspired/
